My name is Jayne Miller and I am a 29 year old 3rd grade teacher in Louisville, Kentucky. I am an only child who is married to a wonderful man named Mitch. We have two crazy dogs, an amazing family, and tons of friends who might as well be family.
In July of 2013, I was diagnosed with the BRCA2 gene mutation. My mom and grandmother, who passed away in 2009 and 2011, also carried the gene. This blog is a story about my choices and my journey toward turning my experiences into something positive.

Dearest Jayne, My name is Kim Emery. I am the Co-Administrator for both the Facebook Prophylactic Mastectomy page as well as the “My Destiny” Foundation. Lisa Sousa and I raise money to help high risk women who can’t afford preventative surgery. My younger sister sent me the link to your TV interview. I have already posted it on our site.
